Creative Brief / Design Thinking
Creative Brief:
Lead the creative development of our social media presence, positioning the brand with a clear and consistent visual identity across campaigns. Transform highly technical B2B products such as sediment filters, EnviroPads and hydrocarbon containment systems into content that was both commercially effective and visually compelling.
Role:
Designer/ Marketer
Design Thinking:
My approach was to create a design framework that balanced technical accuracy with accessibility. This meant combining concise messaging with strong typography, bold colour treatments and structured layouts that could adapt across platforms. From major product launches such as DripLock and DropFit where teaser campaigns built anticipation, through to lighter seasonal content like our Christmas Jumper Day post, every asset was designed to communicate with clarity and purpose.
The results were tangible. Within my first year the company’s following increased by more than 100 percent, creating a step change in brand visibility and audience engagement. Achieving this required navigating common hurdles in B2B communication, such as simplifying complex technical detail without losing authority, aligning creative output with regulatory requirements, and delivering high quality campaigns to tight deadlines.
What makes this body of work significant is that it demonstrates how design can elevate specialist industrial products into something relevant and engaging. By applying brand strategy, visual consistency and creative storytelling, the work helped reposition Green Rhino as not only a trusted supplier but also a thought leader in its sector.
